About the Club

Ava Cleisham is a pupil of Perth Academy, who along with 20 others is part of a World Challenge 2024 expedition group, taking on an empowering and personally challenging, 30 day trip to Nepal (amended from Ecuador for safety reasons).  With 2 years of preparation and little more than observation from Expedition Leaders, this is an experience that will test and develop planning, leadership and teamwork skills and help to define important personal qualities such as respect, commitment and humility.  See here for some educational outcomes.

Equipped with a 'neatly filled' backpack and a good pair of boots, the group will be trekking and undertaking a rural community improvement project - and each person has to raise £5,500 to make it happen.

World Challenge builds the life skills young people need to live a life of courage, kindness and adventure. Today World Challenge is 30 years young, proudly travelling to over 40 destinations with over 8,000 students every year.  They lead the way in safety, quality, ethical community engagement and learning outcomes.
